Hi guys! Is anyone reading along with me? Right now I’m about halfway through Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and aMother’s Will to Survive by Stephanie Land. You can purchase it below if you want to catch up! I don’t want to spoil how I’m feeling about it just yet…I’ll just say it is interesting…To give you a little background information, even though it’s identified as a social science book…it’s really more of a memoir— written by Land about her life as a maid where she struggled to make ends meet and provide for her daughter. It hit the New York Times Bestseller list for the first time on February 10, 2019, and has maintained its status ever since. There is a lot of buzz going around about the book, some people are saying they hate it, while others are completely in love. I’m curious to hear what you guys think! Please let me know and feel free to suggest any books you’d like me to add to my list for future review!
